Google Flutter

Flutter needed a fresh new look for their web presence as well as a micro site for their Flutter Engage event and a web app to help promote it.

Flutter wanted a new web experience that catered toward the developer community on all levels. From beginner to advance it became the destination to connect with the community, continue learning new skills, and getting the latest news from the Flutter team. I was tasked to lead the vision of the website that best showed the capabilities Flutter has to offer.

Starting with a new site architecture, we wanted to create a clear understanding for new and current users to find the information they need. It was important the site could be scaled with new updates and releases by the Flutter team.

Once the new brand was established, I expanded the art direction of the graphics, color palette, iconography, and typography. It was important that Flutter had its own personality but still felt apart of the Google family. We achieved this by keeping a minimalist layout and using the colors and fonts to drive the content.

Before launching the new Flutter website, an event site and web app was created for Flutter Engage. I lead the art direction and UI/UX as a lead up, during, and after the event web experience. The social hit was the Dashatar web app that allowed attendees to create a custom Dash character that could be shared with everyone.
