Yards Brewing Co. – Schwarber’s Standards

Yards Brewing Co. teamed up with Phillies left fielder Kyle Schwarber to launch a campaign for their Philly Standard beer line. The campaign featured newly branded packaging, social media strategy and creative, and promotional experiences.

Since 1994, Yards with deep Philadelphia roots and community commitment, created the Made By Phila brand platform in early 2022. As it gained further awareness, I was tasked with developing a unique, engaging 2023 campaign leveraging Yards new partnership with Kyle Schwarber, the star player for the Philadelphia Phillies, while promoting Yards Philly Standard brand family.

 

To solve this we came up with the “Schwarber’s Standard” campaign. That not only spotlights Kyle’s distinctive and relatable personality but also captures the authentic spirit of being a Philadelphian.

Play right, work hard and have fun. Those are the standards Kyle lives by. And, come to think of it, Philly does, too. Throughout the campaign this is visually represented with the elements true to Philly with the personality of Kyle.

The collaboration between Yards Brewing Company and Kyle Schwarber, both beloved symbols of Philadelphia, has proven to be an enormous success. Awareness, engagement, and beer sales have all experienced significant growth as a result.

 

The brand generated significant awareness through the social and paid media channels. With the Phillies making it into the post season, cans were being sold at the stadium to create even more buzz. Yards also offered a free Philly Standard at their taproom and 20 regional bars every time Kyle hit a home run.
